JMF Golf Outing June 2023

Our third Golf Outing was again at Haworth Country Club on June 12, 2023.

We had 93 golfers and 21 Dinner-only attendees come together on a day where the weather forecast was not all that promising. It turned out to be perfect weather for golf and outdoor dining at Haworth Country Club.

It was another successful fundraiser.  We raised $10,100!  Many thanks and much appreciation goes to the attendees, those who sent donations but couldn't attend,  our dedicated volunteers and wonderful host in HCC.

We are very grateful for all the support!

JMF Golf Outing
September 2021

Our second Golf Outing was again at Haworth Country Club on September 27, 2021.

Everything came together for the 122 supporters with an awesome afternoon at HCC - picture perfect weather, a beautifully groomed course, and a great close of the day socializing on the patio and enjoying a bbq dinner with family and friends.

We had another successful fundraiser!  Through the generous supporters at the event and those who couldn't make it there, the sponsors,  and the volunteers who made this happen, and HCC providing a great venue, we raised $12,600.

The generosity of the people who took the time to donate and support us is amazing.  We are only as successful as those who go out of their way to help us help others.

Special thanks to:

  • Haworth CC for another year of an impeccable course and outstanding service.

  • All the volunteers who spent a full day at the course making sure it all came together.

JMF Golf Outing

September 2020

Our inaugural Golf Outing was at Haworth Country Club on September 28, 2020.

It was a beautiful day weather wise and event wise.  We had just over 100 supporters at the event  enjoying themselves on the course and at the BBQ dinner afterwards.  The golf course was in perfect condition - from the tee boxes to the greens.  Thank you Haworth CC - we are fortunate to have you as our host.  We will be back next year.

We raised $12,000 for our mission - thanks to our very generous donors and the many committed volunteers who were essential to the success of the event.

It is unbelievable how people are willing to give so much of their time, effort, and money to help others.

Special thanks to:

  • Haworth CC for an impeccable course and outstanding people

  • Jimbo Lynch and Kate Lynch for going above and beyond at the event

JMF BBQ
June 2019

Our first JMF BBQ was on June 15, 2019 (Father’s Day weekend). It was a great success! About 180 people enjoyed food, drink, music, a photo booth, karaoke singing, dancing, and cornhole games.

We raised over $10,000 for our mission! Thank you soo much!! And, to all those who helped during the event, we are so grateful for your support. It couldn’t have happened without you. You were everything.

Whether you were able to make it there in person or send in your donation, we greatly appreciate your support and enthusiasm to be part of the foundation. It was three years ago on Father’s Day that Jack was diagnosed with his cancer. It is because of that day, we were together remembering and celebrating Jack and his wishes.

Special thanks to:

  • The American Legion Hall Post 170 in Rochelle Park, NJ. It was the perfect venue for us.

  • The Glen Rock Inn in Glen Rock, NJ for donating the beer and wine. Thank you Victor and Evan Quinn.

JMF Fundraisers
At Manhattan College

Manhattan College had  two fundraisers in honor of the JMF.  The first one, in 2018, will always be dear to our family. Many people from the tri-state area made it to the Bronx and were great team boosters rooting on the Manhattan College Jaspers Women’s soccer team to 1-0 an overtime victory.

Our goal was to raise the noise levels at the game and funds for the Foundation. We are very excited to say we met both of those goals thanks to all our supporters! Over $9000 was raised from the two events!!

Very special thank you goes to:

  • Caroline Taylor, star Jaspers soccer player, for working with Manhattan College to get us be recognized at the event and coordinating much behind the scenes activities.

  • Manhattan College and the Women's Soccer team for embracing our foundation and being a wonderful and accommodating host.

While 2022 was a quiet year for fundraisers, this year will have two fundraisers.  The JMF Golf Outing returned in June and a new event for us, the JMF Gala, is planned for December 2, 2023.  Stay tuned for more details!

How we fulfill our mission:

1.      Donations will continue to be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering to be used in the research of new treatments for Osteosarcoma - a rare disease where the standard of care is decades old.  MSK is a leader in pediatric Sarcoma research.

2.      We continue to make a difference to cancer patients and their families by providing financial support to cover Essential expenses so they can focus more on caring for their patient and End-of-Life costs to ease the burden of losing a loved one.

3.      We continue to seek opportunities to support anti-bullying programs in schools for programs and initiatives that are conducive to having a school culture noted for being respectful, mindful, and kind.  We again provided two seniors at Glen Rock High School with the JMF Humble & Kind Award at the school's Senior Awards/Scholarship  ceremony.
